I remember seeing it in the theaters in Canarsie, Brooklyn. I got a Dick Tracy action figure one Christmas in a box of clothes, completely fooled me.

great movie.. unlike batman 1989 it was faithful to the source material... and madonna was hot in it.

Back in the day Burger King had some promotional Dick Tracy toys and they had this talking watch, or you talked into the watch I vaguely remember.

Yeah, I remember it was a pretty big deal when it came out- I was about 12. Saw it in the theaters and I even had a Dick Tracy T-shirt. I think I saw a few of those around back then.

The film still stands as having one of the most impressive casts ever for a "popcorn" movie: You had Warren Beatty, Al Pacino (who was nominated for an Oscar in this movie), Madonna, Dustin Hoffman, James Caan, Mandy Patinkin, Paul Sorvino...

Shame they never made a sequel. I wonder why; the movie did pretty good box office for its time.

I thought Warren Beatty did a good job playing Dick Tracy. :)

I'm surprised there's never been a Special Edition DVD or anything for this one. I got my DVD in the bargain bin for about 5 bucks...at least it's widescreen, which is a MUST for such a visuals-oriented film as this. While I never thought it was the greatest movie (I liked Batman '89 waaaaayyy more), I was definitely struck by the set design, and overall LOOK of the film and thought the cast did a great job.

My favorites are: The Brow, Little-Face, Prune-Face, Lips Manlis, & Bucktooth-Face.

Dick Tracy had the best badguys, with the best faces.

Great movie. Al Pacino was awesome as always. I love the line, "Dick, Dick, I want to... I want to... take your little head, and CRACK IT LIKE AN EGG! No! No! I didn't mean that, I'm sorry."

This was one of my childhood favorites in 1990, next to Ninja Turtles, Home Alone, and Ducktales the Movie. I remember that I actually panicked when I saw Gremlins 2, and my dad had to take me to this to calm me down.

The trailer for the Spirit kind of reminds me of it. He even says, "I'm on my way," at the end!

The movie was rediculous but the genesis game wasn't all that bad.

I have to say I saw it at the movies and wasn't too fond of it.

If you guys like it than good for you....trust me I like movies that others didn't like...and can't figure out why.

But I do have to say I've never thought Madonna was good looking...even than.

They did have all the bad guys down pat though.
