There was a cartoon of a father placne who was being like put out of a job or something because they brought in new model planes. I remember he was showing his son that he had a purple heart and he would open his chest and his heart would be purple. In the end he had some kind of face off with the new modle plane.

I believe your talking about Little Johnny Jet ya the father was a retired war plane and his son wanted to be a jet
