Aright all you old people out there. Yeah the ones like me that grew up in the 1970's or decades before.
I posted The 5 on Friday on HIH for the world to see the 5 things I miss from the 70's.

What do you miss?
Even if you're a kid from the 80's and 90's you might appreciate the 5 on my list:

Marathon Bars
Glass Bottles of Coca Cola
Gum Without Artificial Ingredients
Rollerskate Rinks
Disco

Igotta concur on the roller rinks. Back in the 80s we had a GREAT roller rink/arcade not far from where I lived.

In the early 70's it was 11 cents for a candy bar. I miss my grandparents farm. Me and my cousins walking a couple of miles to the country store with a six pack of empty bottles a piece and be able to buy half the store. I miss my first middle school dance in 78 when i wore hip huggers, silk shirt, semiplatform shoes and a gold necklace. I was hot! spending all summer hanging with my friends in the neigboring woods and walking down to the convenient store to play video games.

I was out in the smoking area in 1980 in high school when someone came out and announced Bon scott had died choking on his own puke. It actually hit a few people hard.

Wow bring out the very few old folks on here with this question. I was born in 1976, but I do remember the late 70s. Here where I lived things were SO different. I mean it was like a different world. There was way less crime and less traffic. Everyone was so much nicer too, well most people.

Food and drinks tasted so much better. The foods didn't have all of the preservatives like they do today and no one was pressuring the manufactures to lower the fat and sugar levels. I remember how good coke, crush and Welch’s soda tasted. I would do just about anything to experience that taste again. I also remember how you could buy gum for 1 penny.

Well I was born in 1974

The first thing I miss is the quiet..what I mean is that I still live in the same subdivison that I lived in back than but now in my OWN house.Back than it was country with maybe four or five houses in the whole damn area. You almost never saw anyone driving on the streets.

Now there are houses everywhere, people driving up and down the road at all hours of the night and just making all kinds of racket.

Another thing I miss is going to a drive in.I haven't been to one....or hell SEEN one in god knows how many years.
