have you ever been doing something, and a breeze hits you or you smell something, and it feels just like it did when you were a kid?
like today for example, i went for a run and when i got back i was catching my breath and the breeze hit me, and it felt just like those late summer breezes when i was in the 4th grade. theres also times when i smell something and it takes me back as well. Has anyone else ever experienced this or am i crazy?

Yep, ive experienced the same exact thing. Sometimes I get a whiff of the smell I smelled when I was on my swingset in my backyard during summer, sometimes I can smell my kindergarten classroom.....sometimes I can smell summer back in my old house when I was a kid.....sighhh.
I wish I could pin point the smell of my kindergarten class room, its a very distinct smell, I think it has something to do with the food.
I Know I have but can't really remember.I think it was remembering the times when I stayed at my grandma's house.

Its happened to me a couple of times.
Glad to know Im not crazy... and yeah some classrooms have distinct smells to them.

That happens to me sometimes whenever i am at home.
That happened to me recently, I was sitting on the porch and this cool breeze hit me and it felt like I was 8-10 again LOL...the air smelled like when I was a kid too, can't explain it.
Yes, when I smell cafeteria food it takes me back to kindergarten and I just loved that smell. Then I smell certain perfumes and it takes me back.
like the smell of french toast and like that old book smell reminds me of my old elementry school.

Yes, this has happened to me before. In some instances it takes me back to my young childhood, but the most common one I can think of brings me back to the eighth grade. Back then, I was very much immersed in fantasy novels, especially the Lord of the Rings (which I was reading for the first time). There is a pathway system near our house that I used to walk along thinking about whichever fantasy book I was reading at the time. I still walk that pathway system often, but for some reason every once in a while as I'm walking the old feeling just hits me like a ton of bricks and it feels like I'm back in the eight grade again.
This happens to me all the time. Certain smells will take you back instantly or make you recall a memory. Other ones can bring back feelings of dread. Such as the smell of medical supplies...which reminds me of the dr's office I used to go to when I was a kid. A runs a chill up my spine!
In the summer time, When I'm walking past people's gardens and there cutting their lawn, I can smell the grass and it takes me back to when I was young.

The smell of Elmer's glue and brand new school supplies (Crayola crayons!) does that to me.
Sometimes I visit my old elementary school to say hello to my 5th grade teacher and it still smells the same as when I was a student there!
