On a Saturday afternoon, while channel surfing back in 1990, I saw this cartoon character.
There was something about him that was kinda familiar and strange, all at the same time.
What I saw turned out to be "The Adventures of McGee and Me" a Christian childrens television series.

If you've never seen McGee and Me, take a look at the intro and tell me if you find this guy strange but sorta cool too:

I loved that show; we watched in Sunday School all the time. Any show that opens up with a Rube Goldberg device is a winner in my book.
Five Iron Frenzy...you are missed and loved.

Yes, that's a cool intro to a well made show. I could not take my eyes off the TV. You can see that intro once and never forget it! And that kid is a great actor for being so young.

Yeah, I used to watch episodes of this on videotape. One of the few christian shows I'd actually let my kids watch...

I remember watching that about 3-4 years ago on TBN.

I used to check out video tapes of the episodes at my local library, I thought they were cool, they could put a moral in each episode without seeming so preachy

That's right. Christian shows for kids need a lighter touch.
"McGee and Me" got it right.

Well at least this show is better than veggietales.

I always thought that McGee looked like the cartoon version of Doc from the BTTF animatied series... :/

I used to have a few tapes of McGee and Me when I was little.

I loved that series along with Adventures in Odyssey I have yet to see all of the episodes from both Adventures in Odyssey and McGee and Me. I know that our library has them so a good place to find them.

My nephew has a VHS tape of McGee and me. Cheesy, but whatever...
