this is probably obvious...but...why did the characters always dance in place everytime they just stand there? was it an animation sequence thing or was it because of the music that kept playing?

    Pretty sure it was just the style back then, to make it seem playful I guess

      They danced because it was movement. Animation was just beginning back then, and it was to show that it wasn't like the "talkies". So, the dancing was to show movement and animation.

        Don't criticize, it probably took them 2 days to make that dancing sequence.

          Like I said, it was to show movement. I learned it in an animation class.
