Wanna hear something cool?

For Christmas eve 1995 the Seattle local PBS station, KCTS-9, did away with their regular schedule and instead re-ran "Christmas episodes" of TV shows from the 1950's.

"The Jack Benny Program" and "Dragnet" and "The Phil Silvers Show" and of course "Date with the Angels".

Date with the Angels?

OMG, did you guys know that Betty White had her own show in 1957?
Not only was this a total surprise to me but the show's sponsor was Plymouth, showing off their best car ever, the 1957 Plymouth Fury.

Date with the Angels starred Betty White and Bill Williams as newlyweds Vicki and Gus Angel. In typical sitcom fashion Vicki gets herself plus her husband plus neighbors and friends into funny situations and we get to see everyone get out of them.

Let me say right now, I love Betty White! RJ gang, Betty is outstanding. She carries this old show and does it with style and grace. Betty is da' Bomb!

Date with the Angels (called "the betty white show" in error) on youtube:

You just found out that Betty White was awesome? She was awesome from the Mary Tyler Moore show all the way down to the Golden Girls.
