There was a tv show on Nick, I believe, about a kid (had a friend maybe) who was always going on these adventures. Sort of styled like Jonny Quest. Maybe something about India? There was some nefarious plot afoot? He was either helped by his family, or trying to save his family. I think it was only on for one season. There were always these classic sort of adventures, like saving the crown jewels from a mayan cave or something. Very classic, old type stuff. If I remember right, the characters sort of looked like the characters from Doug.

I don't think this is what you're thinking of, but it's not the Adventures of Tintin, is it? He was always on adventures, and even though I'm sure this was originally shown on HBO, I'm pretty sure that Nickelodeon aired eps for a while.
