I just remember that it had the word "Travels" in it and that it involved a small, termite-like creature that fell in love with a fairy.

I think the worm lived in a wooden globe on Christopher Columbus' ship. The termite had a long nose.

The fairy lived in a chandelier.

Near the end of the movie, the termite and fairy kissed. On their first try though, the termite poked the fairy in the eye or something. XD

It was animated.

A really strange cartoon, from what I remember. I just wish I knew the title! Please help if you can!
