Hi, I remember a cartoon from the 90's that had these dogs that would change from regular old dogs to like these super hero dogs. haha. I can't remember much but i think the leader was a Golden Retriever. Anyone got any clues on what show that is?

Road Rovers! that's an awesome show. Colleen is quite cute for a dog chick much like Brandy from Brandy and Mr. Whiskers.

Awesome cartoon! Road Rovers was outstanding on many levels.

I love it when the voices match the character's appearence. Great "give and take" in the dialog between characters, never a dull moment.

And best of all, once the character's personalities became familiar, the characters were allowed to play around with their personnas to the delight of viewers. Typical lead characters often took a back-seat to secondary characters when the storyline took a twist!




So many times watching Road Rovers I was floored by the unpredictable nature of this toon. Characters usually did the unexpected - except when the writers "played" the audience for comic effect.

Remember when "Muzzle" the Rottweiler that was always in a straitjacket and face-guard would be released to subdue an adversary? The attack was always "off-camera" with the other Road Rovers looking away in disgust - I LOVE THAT!
It implies raging violence while showing nothing.

And a shout out to "Exile" the siberian husky from Siberia!
Everytime he talked, I died laughing!

I just loved Road Rovers.
The W-B cancelled the series for reasons that made no sense at all!

It was an awesome show and i loved it since i was 14.

ROAD ROVERS was apparently cancelled because of a song Exile sang about Russian names that ended with a very funny but very risque joke. That line got parents very upset, and they demanded the show be axed. Kids' WB obliged.

Seems that everyone gets TOO serious about ethnic words...even when it's Russian!

i think it was more because the FCC demanded more educational cartoons on saturday mornings. Many shows got cancelled because of that,.

Road Rovers was a hilarious show. I liked it. Iliked the crazy dog.
