My childhood was so much fun. Staying up late, hanging out with friends going camping. I was also in Boy Scouts. Also my friend and I would always draw Xmen comics and make up characters. I miss the music, tv shows, alot of things. Its kinda sad how all your best friends as a kid dont talk to you anymore. ITs almost like the last line in the movie Stand By Me. When i got older i didnt have the friends that i had when i was 12, Jesus does anyone?

I miss the early to mid 90's. For some reason, it still feels like the late 90's (1998 and 1999) to me...at least culture and society wise.

I understand how you feel. I am not saying the new millenium sucks, but things just seemed so much better in the 90s. Our country was not waist deep in debt and war, Disney and Nickelodeon were not overrun with lame tween shows, Most animated movies were hand-drawn and music was not centered around rap and hip hop.
Maybe someone in this millennium will create time travel so we can all go to the greatest time on earth!

I miss the early 90s the most. That's when cartoons and TV was at it's best. The mid 90s was alright, but the late 90s flat out sucked, but at least the economy was good.

Yup. To me it feels like culture and society have pretty much remained stagnant for about 10 years. It seems like not a whole lot has changed (pop culture wise) over the last decade or so when compared to the decades past.

Yeah, I personally don't see too much of a difference between the late 90s and now. Same old crappy music, same old clothes and other crap.
I could name a ton of material that was good in the 1990s. But since I have already repeated posting this hundreds of times, I'll pass.
It was just a better time to grow up in, despite the problems surrounding the Clinton Admistration, the LA riots, and the fueled debate on gangsta rap. It was a more original era and it wasn't trying to copy the other decades like the 2000s have been.

I sure miss the early seventies & my old CCM MUSTANG CHOPPER !
dude, those your the days, not only do i miss all those classic shows that made me the man i am today but the music was bumping, i actually started a list of retro requests i tend to play when i have to drive people

I agree. Early to mid-nineties seem more authentic than the present. I think that also growing up in the 90s is very different than growing up in this decade; kids are so entranced with their technology that I don't know if they would enjoy the simple entertainment and toys that we did.

I miss the 90's as well :( Millenium sucks.. and now it's not nastolgic stuff... if the shows nd music were like it now I'd be happy.

back then we didn't have soccer moms screwing us over by forcing education on our tv shows, a president who wasn't spending our tax money on himself along with congress,tweens didn't rule over Disney and Nickelodeon, Kids WB and Fox Kids were around, Nintendo and Super Nintendo were cool as was Genesis and PS1
I pine for the good old days when I could walk into an arcade and play non stop rounds of Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat, Killer instinct, Tekken, or Soul Calibur
