After a long day of school, a kid just want to go home, relax and watch some TV. I usually watch Transformers, GI Joe, He-Man and Thundercats after school.

Now it's nothing but shitty court shows on.

The Disney Afternoon was one of my favorite afternoon cartoon blocks.

I personally stopped watching weekday afternoon cartoons when I entered middle school.

Welcome to the satellite/cable entertainment universe.
Seems like stuff that makes living fun gets taken away.
Wanna see your favorite toons? How much money ya got?
And even then, your favorites might disappear. Its dvd time!

Fortunately more people than ever have cable, so they can watch Disney and Cartoon Network now, which is why they don't have afternoon cartoons anymore. I'm just sad for the kids who still have basic channels. I hope they can play outside or do afterschool activities. I wouldn't want them watching crap like Maury. LOL.

Sad really. I can remember 25 years ago when it was still possible to watch the classics on regular 'free tv'. Nobody's never going to replicate that again (unless some digital subchannel doesn't try to give us a chance).

I remember it was important that I get home everyday to watch Gummi Bears. That show was so much fun. That little pink bear was so cute with the way he wanted to grow up and be a knight. What was his name again?

Shame my cable company isn't that good to get stuff like that.

Sadly, they got Cartoon Network, which plays nothing but junk.
