Sorry to get serious, I just felt the need to ask. I still love most of the entertainment from my youth, but I don't feel like I had a good personal childhood.
I had an abusive father growing up who favored my older brother over me. His father died before I was born, so I thought that was the reason why he hurt me. My mother couldn't leave him because we depended on him financially, and they're just now getting a divorce.

Sometimes ive talk with my parrents about my childhood, its ok.
Just few years ago on TV there was some show called Supernanny, where titular Supernanny teaches parrents to control own children or something like that.
And in one scene, Supernanny and Familly with troublesome son goes shooping, they promise buy him new toy, but kid went angry again, because he wanted expensive toy not cheap one.
Ive laugh at that moment and my mom seating next to me remind its happens to me too :D.
Yea i rymmenber that, as kid my mom promise purchase new toy but ive rejected and wanna had diffrent one who was expensive, but dont feel to be embarrassment, because its happens a long time ago and almost forget :D so looks like my mother still good memory to rymenber that.
Even one day, again my mother checking VHS tapes, and in one tape find my costume party in kindergraden, :) and ask me did ive rymenber that events.
OF COURSE IVE RYMENBER :D, how i can forget, ive been dressed as Zorro, but kinda funny instead rapier like Zorro had, ive had ninja turtles katana :), even ive challanged one my friend to duel who been dressed as Pirate, but fight dont take for long because musican guy on keyboard break our fight by pressing some keys.

Pretty much all parents favor one child over the other. As for abusive was this a daily thing or are you holding on to a handful of situations that were what you consider abusive?
