Does anyone else dislike encores at concerts as much as I do? The first time I saw an artist do an encore (when I was little), I thought it was a fun surprise. Now, so many artists do them that it has become expected and cliche. The element of surprise is completely gone. The worst is when artists go an entire concert without doing their biggest hit, and save it for the encore. Cher did that on her "Believe" tour in 1999. She went the entire performance without doing "Believe," and -- surprise! -- did it for the encore.
