Yeah! Gotta like Somebody to love, thats a given.

But I also like White Rabbit, the great Alice in Wonderland tribute.

I like them alot. People tend to remember them soley for their two big singles from 1967, Somebody to Love and White Rabbit but they did more than that. They were a really good album based band as well, 1967's After Bathing at Baxter's is one of the most way out albums from that year, Volunteers has some really underrated tracks like Hey Frederick and Turn My Life Down and the last studio album by the original band, Long John Silver has some pretty ballsy stuff on it as far as topic matter for songs goes and the closing track, Eat Starch Mom rocks really hard.

In the early 70's, Grace Slick and Paul Kantner did a few side project albums together that would appeal to some prog rock fans.

I agree, Its just that there are alot of people that know diddly squat about them, so I thought I would start off with that.

Jefferson Airplane rocks. Also check out Hot Tuna, Jorma and Jack's other band.

They are so awesome! I saw them 2 summers ago. Honestly, it was a fucking great concert.

Yeah, Hot Tuna are good too. Burgers is a really good album from those guys. Wolfgang's Vault has all kinds of shows from Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship and Hot Tuna to listen along with many other bands. You can get mp3 downloads and cds from there too.
