Who remembers this Brooklyn-born singer's ode to Carole King, his high school sweetheart and quintessential Brill Building songstress?

Watching this music video, during the midway point, there is one girl in the audience who may look like Carole, but, is that really her?

Side note: Seeing as many of the girls audience are chewing gum, as they all don the IFIC buttons (Beech-Nut was the sponsor of the program for which Sedaka appeared on), I've one more thought: if Sedaka were to have performed this song in 1979, I believe the teen girls in the audience would then be chewing Bubblicious (if the program was sponsored by Warner-Lambert Co.) or Bubble Yum (if the program was sponsored by Squibb Beech-Nut; hey, remember the 1959 sponsor?). Agree???

Believe it or not, Carole King released a response song to "Oh, Carol" called "Oh, Neil." It's an ok song, just not that great.
