Dear everyone of the internet,

I wanted to know if you still own a copy of the original 1986 35mm or 16mm open matte LPP film reel of The Great Mouse Detective. The reason that I am asking for this is because the original theatrical print of Disney's animated film contains the original 1985 variant of the Walt Disney Pictures logo. Disney is infamous for removing or plastering their older logos their mid to late 80s animated feature films and one live action feature Benji The Hunted as well as the 1990s and 2000s films afterwards.

So far, I have managed to rediscover the original 1985 variant of the Disney castle intro from Oliver & Company. It was included in the 1997 France VHS that i bought online from ebay, thus scanning and digitizing the print myself. It was presented in a 4:3 pan and scan aspect ratio.

I would like to find the obscure 35mm 1988 lpp theatrical print of that movie too so i can scan and digitize it in high, 1080p or 4K quality.

If anyone all around the United States or around the world own the original 1986 35mm print version of The Great Mouse Detective and have not scanned, digitize it, do it so i can take a look too see how well it still looks. Do the same for the 1988 35mm/16mm lpp film reel of oliver and company as its original opening and closing logo is in widescreen because Oliver is the first animated film by Disney to be fully produced in widescreen. The Great Mouse Detective was produced in fullscreen open matte but was presented in cropped widescreen in theaters, DVD and bluray releases.

The closest source that Detective preserves the original logo is the original theatrical trailer.

Please note, just because the original iteration of the Walt Disney Pictures logo is found, not lost in other films at that timerange (1985-1989) does not mean this one specifically for detective has been preserved.
