Does the Breakfast Club detention translate to this day and age? I heard a kid in the restaurant where I work say during Saturday detention at his school, they get to watch cable television on a big screen unit, but I get that would be a punishment itself, especially if they have to watch CBS.

It's not actually a remake. I read an interview with one of the writers or producers or somebody... she said it was just inspired by TBC, and has no connections other than that.

I dont think many people read the article, Daniel is right, its inspired by breakfast club not an out right re make. There have been a lot of good movies inspired by older ones
