Well, Remember the unfinished Work in progress version of Disney's Beauty and the Beast as screened at the 1991 New York Film Festival on that festival's opening night. Way back in the fall of 1991 (the year that I was born), Disney awarded the New York Film Festival the ability to show an unfinished Work in Progress version of Disney's 30th full length animated feature, Beauty and the Beast (the only animated movie to be nominated at the Academy Awards for a Best Picture Oscar), with a nearly complete soundtrack, much of the animation work being left intact and sections of the movie still pencilled in, and even other scenes shown only as storyboard and conceptual drawings. At the end of the work in progress version of Beauty and the Beast, that unfinished work was met with a standing ovation.
You can spot the Work in Progress version in the now out of print DVD release of the movie on Disc 1, as well as a VHS tape that goes with the Deluxe VHS Box set or so, and also, a 2-Disc CAV Laserdisc set, featuring the 4 Stages of Animation featurette, a glimpse into the making of the CGI Ballroom, and even an alternate version of Be Our Guest with Belle's dad, Maurice, instead of her.
Well, I'm talking about an unfinished work in progress version of a Disney movie here, don't you?
