Im' not a fan of "Harry Potter," I haven't seen the movies or read the books. Even though "Harry Potter has died down, I still hear some people talk about it. So, I'm just curious to know which movie's the worst? I have no desire to see the movies. On a side note, did you know that J.K Rowling is comming out with an eighth and final book? I was told there were only going to be seven. Did you know that the guy who played "Draco" was pulled over and caught having Cocaine in his car?

I can't say wich is the worst cause I'm no fan... I've seen the first two (and the one having the dragon but didn't finished)...

The concept is good I guess... but one thnig that didn't cut the mustard was the acting. The kid (Harry) is quite lame.

I have ZERO interest in this series, yet for reasons that defy all logic I've seen all the movies except the third or fourth one (the Axkaban thing one). From a purely cinematic point of view, the last one was the absolute worst. If you didn't read the book (like me),you couldn't make sense of WTF was going on. I think I'm gonna skip renting the last two. It's not like you can't see that it's going to end with Harry and Sauron...I mean Dr. Palpamort are going to duel and Harry will "become a true wizard" at the end and blah blah blah.

The 3rd one for me, but I have bias because I read the book way before I saw the movie...

Probably the fifth film (Order of the Phoenix) since they took so much out of the book.

Oh yeah. To be honest, I only actually liked the first two to some extent. Hated the 3rd one and where in the world did that black kid come from? That big black kid that would pop up out of nowhere and just start spewing random crap about catching smoke in your hands or something.

Anyway, anything past Prisoner of Azkaban, I just watch out of habit. Movie 6 was really stupid, imo. You have three characters that are technically murderers, and yet, they don't do anything harmful to anyone, especially that crazy dude that would attack/kill kids without thinking twice about it, but oh well. That was dropped from the movie. The villains didn't come across as villains to me at all. Either way, it's fun to watch the films with friends or others who have a twisted sense of humor too (or while buzzed). It makes watching them more fun. We're still cracking jokes on the sixth movie. lol

The newest. The Half Blood Prince. They didn't explain how the character was the prince. Also, I like Michael Gambon. He was great in Sky Captain and every other thing he's been in. But I just don't care about him as Dumbledore. I didn't feel anything during the death scene. If it had been Richard Harris still in the role, I probably would've cried. Richard Harris, rest him, was amazing as Dumbledore. Gambon just doesn't cut it for me. He was great in Sleepy Hollow, but not here.

The only one I liked was the first one. I watched it so many times. Then I read all the books and loved them all. However when watching the movies I always get confused like"Wait..does such and such happen in this movie or the next one?" because A) they leave stuff out and B) I read the books such a long time ago.

In all honesty I haven't been interested in any of the movies past the third one.

The 4th or 6th movie, although 6 was better than I thought it would be. I hated the 6th book. I have a feeling the next movie will be my least favorite because why the hell do they need to make it into two movies? Thank god 5 was only one movie. They would have kept all the boring, non-essential stuff.

LOL, a lot of HP fans have been saying the same thing. I'm also glad I didn't have to see that sweet old man die (as Dumbledore. Didn't mean for that to be a punn.)

Although I don't like Harry Potter, I have seen them all. I forgot which one is which so I had to check IMDB. Anyway, here's the order I would put them in from best to worst:

Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004)
                          Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone (2001)
Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire (2005)
Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets (2002)
Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix (2007)
                          Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince (2009)

I honestly don't even remember anything about Order of the Phoenix but I remember that the newest one was suuuper boring and had no real conclusion.

I liked the first and second movies, they were very loyal to the books.

The third one was terrible, Harry was supposed to get caught sneaking into hogsmeade in the book, but never does in the movie, and when they go back in time a snail shell was never thrown at Hagrid's window, and it arubtly ends with Harry flying the Firebolt (which Harry was supposed to get as a gift earlier on)

The fourth movie was better than the third but still bad, Ludo Bagman wasn't even in the movie, and Bart Diggory was supposed to be one of the judges at the triwizard tournament but instead they only add him in when they discover him near the end in the woods. But the thing that puts me off most is when Dumbledore shakes Harry in anger when he finds out his name was entered into the goblet of fire. In the book Dumbledore asked him calmly if Harry put his name in.

The fifth movie was ok, I'm currently reading the fifth book. I found the duel between Dumbledore and Voldermort cool. I haven't read far enough to give a proper opininion yet though.

The sixth movie sucked, I thin this was the worst one. The plot was all over the place. From what I heard, it was really dark in the book, but for most of the movie there was mediocre jokes. And climax of the movie didn't feel right, and they don't explain as someone else mentioned why or how Snape was the half- blood prince. I like all the books (or the ones I have read so far) but most of the movies were a disappointment.

Wind Adept: The thing you mentioned about Dumbledore in movie 4...I know it was completely off from the book and even noticed it when I first saw the film how out of character he was for that scene, but I couldn't help but laugh my head off at it and still do. I was almost waiting for him to start slapping him around.

Dumbledore: (Charges in and shakes Harry) Did you (slaps) put (slaps) your name (slaps) into (slaps) the goblet (two slaps and then shakes him again) Tell them you didn't do it! (slaps but Harry is too dazed to defend himself) MF, I thought I told you to tell them that you didn't do it!! (slaps again)

For movie 3, I hated how the movie downplayed Ron's character and elevated Hermione's. To me, both were too out of character for me. I mean seriously, Ron's a brave character...he doesn't cry and whine like the movie seemed to do with him.

That aside, I've read all the books. I'd already read the first four before the first movie was even thought of and read beyond that as the others were released. IMO, book 6 was okay...but still not one of my favorites. I have a love-hate relationship with book 7 and really should re-read that one. I barely remember what happened in it, other than Neville kicking ass for it (and he is my favorite character, so of course I enjoyed that. lol

The 6th book was kinda like that, though. They cut Dumbledore's death down to like a 2 minute scene (no funeral or anything), but the 6th book ended with a "wtf" anyway. I'm struggling to figure out what you're confused about with Snape.

this seems to have digressed into a thread about how the books are better then the movies as opposed to which movie was the worst. most of the complaints are about how things are out of order in the movies from the way they are in the books aswell as characters changing. you do realize that they are being adapted into scripts that best fit the format of a narrative movie, it would be unwatchable to have a movie be an exact copy of the book, these are two different mediums that are not structured the same. so other then characters and plot points being different from the book what don't you like about the movies as if they stand for themselves.

That is a fair statement, while I agree with you on that they can't add everything from the books they are using as sources, however, in the case of the movie Prisoner of Askaban, the book wasn't so long that it was necessary for them to cut out or switch around significant parts of the plot, they could have fit it all into 2 and a half- 3 hour time slot, like I mentioned before Harry getting the Firebolt was supposed to be in the middle of the story, not in the end where he is flying the firebolt for 2 whole seconds then cutting to credits as a conclusion to the movie, and it would have been good to keep it in the middle like in the book because that would have made the audience wonder halfway... "wait? Why would this escaped murderer be giving Harry this state of the art broom?" it foreshadows that Sirius really could be innocent and it was meant to throw the audience off, but the director somehow thought excluding that part was a good idea, but IMO it was a bad idea
