Why can't people just shop in actual stores like we used to, instead of moving everything online? It used to be cool, now I'm beginning to hate the internet for what it has turned stores and everything else into.

Why do I want to live in an online world? It's sounding more almost like a nightmare nowadays. I guess I'm old-school.

I like going to the store but I love the convenience of shopping online when I'm not able to make it. Online shopping is also great for people who don't live right by a mall or particular store or who may not have transportation to carry big bulky items. You can just get it delivered!

I would shop in stores if they were not so overpriced and they had what I was looking for. A lot of the stuff I want isn't even in stock. Home Depot is bad about this and so are shoe stores. I bought some cologne online not long ago on Target's website. I tried to get it in the store and it was $20 more for a smaller size.

For me, it may be because more and more people are shopping online through Amazon or eBay or the like each passing day in this day and age. Just saying.

It makes it easier to find some things that the stores might not have (ex movies that are not mainstream)

I do most of my shopping online because I live in a small town where there's no access to public transportation (and most of the places around here are overpriced anyway). However, I am addicted to thrift shopping, because those are the best places to find the sorts of things I like to collect--and I will go out of my way to visit a thrift store/yard sale whenever possible. But because it isn't always possible, or realistic, I settle for eBay and other websites as well. I think it's fun to have a good mix of both, because I wouldn't have half of the vintage toys I do without the internet... but nothing really beats the feeling of going to a brick-and-mortar thrift shop and spotting a rare (insert item I like here) to add to my collection at home, too.

The type of shops I need don't exist anymore. The last model shop in my town shut in the early 90s. And the only arts and craft shop shut down too a few years ago.
So it's either shop on line and wait a couple days for my stuff or travel down the entire country to get to these shops which would be crazy lol.

Do people actually not shop in stores these days? I understand shopping online for specialty items (ex. retro games, computers, etc.) because stores tend to overprice those things and often they don't have specialty items, but most of the daily shopping I see people doing near me involves physically going to the store.

Also, you can't go wrong with dollar stores and thrift stores.

Because sadly, people are too lazy to get out of their homes and actually go shopping.

part of the reason why I order online is because I don't have access to reliable transportation

Shopping online is so efficient but nothing beats the feeling of going out window shopping with friends. Somethings I get online because I cant find certain items in stores but when it comes to things like clothes I have to get them in person, I got scammed too many times buying clothes online and its such a pain in the neck to return them. For the most part I shop in person but thats because Im lucky enough to live near a strip mall.

Ummm... Maybe because people don't have the time to go shopping offline? You millennials say post some dumb comments

Also, a lot of stores no longer carry merchandise people are looking for and it's easier to get online.
