I didn't realize this until now, but the show Ed Edd n Eddy has ended. It got me thinking: many of us consider Ed Edd n Eddy to be one of the last things to be considered Retro, so does this mean that it's finally over?

I lot of us thought it ended a long time ago, but some things like Ed Edd n Eddy still lingered on. But is it officially over?

My opinion is yes. Everything started to fad out a long time ago, but some things still were around. But with Ed Edd n Eddy gone, not much is left.

So what's your opinion?

Everyone's "retro era" is different depending on the person's age. To someone like me who's in his late 20's, a show like Ed Edd and Eddy is a newer show that just started a few short years ago. My retro era ended in the late 90's.

      And mine ended in 2005/2006.

But since I'm only 17, That's more or less what I'd consider it.

This were "next generation" cartoons to me. Mine ended in early 90's.

Ed, Edd and Eddy may not be so retro, but it first aired over 12 years ago. And since I'm 20 (turning 21 next week), I miss the late 1990s, as they were the best part of my life until now. Dexter's Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, Dragon Ball Z, Digimon, Pokemon.... All of these made my childhood.

Not trying to put down anybody, but why so many 17-year old young punks hang in here? Is 2005 really retro?

Last retro show is Quack Pack and the modern era of tv shows starts with Arthur.

Face it people, my retro era ends at 1996. This means that the last classic console to me was the Super Nintendo. The first modern console to me is the Sega Saturn.

Hear hear! It's sad when I go to a retro site, and a good portion of the members are what's making me feel old rather than the dates on the stuff I cared about.

                        Agreed.

                        My retro era is 1997 - 2005. :)

                        I was born in 1994, so 1999 - 2005 is classic / retro for me! :D

Yeah, to me, Ed Edd and Eddy was a new generation show. Along with all of those other cartoon networks shoes like dexters lab, johnny bravo, powerpuff girls, etc. and nickelodeon next gen shows to me were rocket power, wild thornburrys, and i think i stopped watching modern cartoons right before fairly odd parents became a real show. I remember it used to be a short within another show.

So basically, retro ended for me in or around 2000.

I, for one, feel old hearing things from the 90's discussed as "retro" having been in my 20's at the time. I'm sure baby boomers snigger at such discussions from my adolescence in the 80's.

RIght now, I'm in Florida. My uncle passed away, and his god-daughter was here with her kids and stuff. They were watching ABC and I was just shaking my head. For me, I have to agree. The death of Saturday morn programming is still a blow to me. Retro or no retro, it's sad that Saturday mornings suck now.

Twenty years ago, I could've never imagined that decent (imo) SatAM programming would be so awful now. Kids now just don't know what they're missing. I'm only pushing 30 here, and I probably sound like an old lady, but that's how I feel.

Now, going back on-topic, to me, the whole "retro" thing in general is very subjective. What's retro to one person, may not particularly be to another. For me, most anything that causes me to feel nostalgic is "retro", but it could be something from 10 years ago, 5 years ago, 20 years ago, etc.
