I took the ACTs when I was a junior in high school. It all depends on how you wanna do it. You have to answer on the ACTs and you don't need to answer on the SATs (sit on the SAT, act on the ACT). If you like writing a lot, then take the ACTs. If you just want to focus on bubbling in the answers on a ScanTron sheet, then SAT.

Like I said, it's all up to you.

I'm pretty sure that I took the ACTs, but not the SATs. I was going to a vocational school at the time.

Useless. Just like all standardized tests controlled by large companies like ETS. Their main purpose is to tell colleges what your grades will be like if you attend their school. I spent hundreds of dollars on an SAT course, managed to get my score up by 100 points, and still didn't get a good score. I still placed out of the classes they wanted me to take in college, and I graduated magna cum laude, so that just goes to show how inaccurate my scores were.

you must have done something right to get Magna Cum Laude.

They dont even offer the SAT here in minnesota so I took the ACT. I took it twice and did worse the second time, I didnt really like my score. but I ended up getting a 21 (slightly above average)
            8)

Wish I could remember my SAT score from 1975. At the time my guidance counselor was very impressed, but I was only an average student in college.
