I just wanted to brag a bit! I'm down 40lbs in 3 months! May not mean much to some of you, but I'm feeling a lot better and can be active more now!

I am hoping to lose another 60lb by the end of the year. Its starting to slow quite a bit so we will see. Another 60 and I will be at my lowest since senior year.

Typically when you suddenly start exercising and eating healthy the weight tends to fly off at the beginning. So I believe you when you say it's slowing down now. The next 40 likely won't go away as easily or as quickly. But if you keep at it you'll DEFINITELY get there. It just takes time and dedication. Losing weight (and keeping it off) truly is a lifestyle change as they say. Don't get discouraged by any dropoff in weight loss or plateauing (assuming you are still doing the right things). It's just the way the body works.

Yeah. I haven't exercised yet. I am actually starting to do some walking this week. I'm gonna try to get at least an hours worth of walking in about every day. I've been eating about 30 carbs a day and 1500 calories a day. Everyone I know that bashes the low carb diet say "the problem is as soon as you go off the diet, you will gain it all back." I want to say no duh! You mean as soon as you start eating all that starchy, sweet food that made you fat initially, you are going to get fat again???? This really is a lifestyle change. When I get down to my goal weight, I may cheat a couple of times a month, but for the most part I am just gonna stick with veggies, meat and no regular sodas. I primarily drink water and one diet soda a day.

Great! I'm having similar success. I've lost 32lbs so far. I'm gonna keep going till I can get as fit as possible.

                      That's awesome! congrats!

I am starting a similar style of eating myself on sunday. (Day after my son's bday party). I've lost 20 eating whatever I want but staying within my weightwatchers points. However, it hasn't always been healthy food and it certainly has NOT helped with cravings, so I want to start limiting the starchy things that cause me to want to binge.

I think that saying is funny as well, I mean yes, if you go off of ANY eating plan where your taking in less food than you burn, your going to gain back the weight. The trick is to (other than treats on occasion) STICK with your eating plan for life and find what works for you.
                      :)

Keep it going!!! I've lost 50# (might have gained a pound with over the weekend with hubby). It's been a real struggle with me and I found the strength within and support of my family to pull me through.

I definitely recommend this site: www.myfitnesspal.com,

if you have an Android or iPhone the App that goes with it too.

It's helped me track my progress and make sure I can maintain my weight loss.
