I'm pretty sure he didn't consciously risk his life. He probably saw the ball coming his way, got caught up in the moment and wasn't paying attention to his surroundings.
It should have been George Bush not an innocent fan.
There was that guy on Monday Night Football who was 30 feet in the bleachers and jumped off to catch a football he was lucky.

Of course, this happens right after the Rangers play our team. Not that I want anyone dying at the stadium... but woulda been interesting to see as long as it happens.
I agree that I don't think he realized the danger, and it was just the heat of the moment. Nothing wrong with that, just tragic, unfavorable circumstances.

Okay, I feel sorry for the guy. Accidents happen, but thats life. What I'm truly disgusted by, is that the news was showing the footage of him falling, over and over. You don't see him hit the concrete, its blocked by the wall. But its still knowing that he dies. Its like showing snuff on TV.
I figured they'd do bullshit like that. Fucking media. Imagine if you were that guy's kid and they kept playing that over and over.
Yeah. When I saw this on the news a few minutes ago, just the sight of him falling made my heart stop, knowing that he would plunge to his death =(

On the Spanish news things like that get shown constantly. I remember a few yrs back they showed a clip from the middle east , where a guy holds a gun to a woman's head then shoots her.

I bet the two commentators who were announcing the game on TV feel like scum now, they were laughing and making jokes about the guy when they saw him fall. Yeah, they didn't know he died at the time...but you don't crack jokes about something as serious as someone falling 20-30 feet.

People do it all the time. They don't think someone can get seriously hurt or die from a fall. Slip and fall in public people and people think it's funny instead of coming over to help.
The breaks on a go-cart once gave out on me at a track. I crashed into the rail going pretty fast and all I got was laughs and shit from the worker like I did it on purpose. I ended up getting hurt. It wasn't serious, but could have been.
Remember the kid that was hanging from that ride and all people did was point and laugh? He couldn't hang on and fell to his death.

^ Don't be a ninny. The guy was having some fun. It ended in tragedy but that doesn't mean he was an idiot/dumbass. Sure he should've been more careful but don't pass judgment on someone who probably was a succesful family man better than both of us. Who knows.
