Did anyone grew up with the show on HBO? it introduced every American and Canadian child to the character including me.
I am. I've read most of the volumes and I loved the Nelvana series.

Oh yes! :D Been a fan of the books and the cartoon for years, can't wait for this one!
This could be really hit or miss. On one hand, I really like 40s/50s/60s inspired shows and movies. But very rarely are they done right. I really hope they get it with this one.
I myself had stumbled onto the comics inthe 70's and rediscovered hardbound repoductions in a library a couple years back.

Do you think the uncanny valley has been un-bridged here? they don't look like actual live human beings but stylish cartoon-esque humanoids.

Looks less creepy than Polar Express eh? maybe with the final film cut i hope it does outdo uncanny valley.
I was never a fan of TinTin :? I thought it looked boring lol. The movie looks nice though.
