I remember Yokozuna from the WWF days. It was pretty funny watching some guy lose to a sumowrestler who literally bitch slapped him into a KO.

I used to watch wrestling in the early and mid nineties, mostly WCW. When that dismantled, I tried watching the WWF for awhile but it has become all about acting, theres so little sport left in the show its boring.

I watched all wrestling up until the late 90's. But after ECW went under, I just lost interest. I have tried to watch WWE recently and it was laughable it was so bad.

It isn't the same to me anymore, but I am still inclined to see Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker when they're involved. Sgt. Slaughter shows up now and then and that really takes me back. Michaels makes a great "good guy", but I liked him more as a villain.

Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho are the only reasons I watch wrestling anymore. It is sad to see wrestlers like Flair, Piper, and Hogan still trying to compete. These were my idols as a kid, they just need to know when to quit. Nothing will ever beat 80's wrestling, Period! There needs to be less talking and soap opera shit and have more matches. And Smackdown sucks so much ass! It is almost as bad as WCW.

Anyone remember when Hogan fought The Giant in a monster truck match? Yeah, that ended my WCW watching.

I don't even know why guys like Flair and Hogan even still try to wrestle, other than to make the other guys look good. They can't compete like they used to(not that Hogan actually ever had any talent). And theres nothing worse than seeing Flair out there with his sagging man breasts bouncing around

I haven't really watched wrestling since the days of The Grand Wizard and Freddie Blassie :P

Back then you could see A-list stars performing at the local High School on a Saturday Night.

Well, here in CT you could thanks to WWF being based here.....there is nothing like seeing how fake a wrestling match can be until you're watching one from the 3rd row in a badly lit high school gym :)

Ivan Putski....Chief Jay Strongbow.....and the dude with the bald head who wore a black karate Gui in the ring......I wish I could remember that dudes name.

and oh yes , a younger ric whooooooooo

I know what you mean. I always get a little bummed when I see Flair nowadays. It almost looks as if he's had a stroke or some form of paralysis. Something just isn't right.

He is, and will forever be, in my opinion the greatest wrestler of all time. I never got a chance to even know of Hogan until the family got satellite, and I was officially introduced to WWF,AWA, and a few great others.

Growing up in Florida, I was spoiled by the likes of the Rhodes,Windhams,Sullivans and so on. :D and let's not forget Exotic Adrian Street.

Gordon Solie and Buddy Colt were the only color commentators I had known.

One thing I do miss, on satellite mind you. Each month WWF broadcast live events on both the MSG and NESN channels, and I thought those were fantastic.

WWE, does suck, in the 80s and 90s it used to be awsome (even though i wasnt alive in the 80s). they had classic matches, thats all, now its about 7' 8'' people w/ burnt faces trying to get back at there so called "brother" because they had a "domesicated dispute" when they were 5.

Also if you think about it, the WWE is a soap oprah. the definition of a soap oprah is a show that has a drama and each episode is a continuation of the last untill the show gets cancelled.

drama in WWE: fighting over who gets ownership of the buisness, lesbians off the air rivals on air, and crappy rivalrys that takes 5 yrs to resolve and it resolves in something rediculus like a "buried alive match"
                          yea, thats wrestling all right..

edit: since everyone is talking about the 80s and 90s WWF(E) being so good, and this is retrojunk, we should put some old classic matches on the site. I think i still have a few matches in MPEG format on my hard drive.
