Abananainpajamas gave us this question in a recent post. In order to make it easier to participate, we could use this poll.

If there is a trilogy that should be on the list, you can select "Other" and post it.

I picked the Star Wars from the 70's and 80's. The first movie I ever saw in the theater was Return of the Jedi. I was 3. Jabba scared the hell out of me to the point where mom and dad had to pull me out of the theater. My parents still haven't let me live that one down.

I voted for the original Star Wars-trilogy. It´s one of the few trilogy´s that I can watch without getting bored.

It had everything needed to make it an instant classic. The almost unknown actors (except for James Earl Jones voice), the cool story and the distinctive sound of the Light Saber. There´s alot more reasons but these reasons will do for now.

Picking Star Wars would be too easy. I go with Other and say The Ninja Turtles movies, Austin Powers, Mighty Ducks, and if it were just sequals Home Alone 1 and 2. Ok so I still have a child's taste in movies and tv shows big whoop wanna fight about it? (Thats from Family Guy dont take it as a threat)

there's a parody of that scene in an episode of fairly odd parent, qwjere you find out that wanda's dad Big Daddy takes care of magical "Garbage". in the second episode where wanda has to run his business after mama cosma kidnaps him. he wakes up and he pulls back the sheets and there's a horse head shaped bed pillow called mister neiogh neigh in the bed.

Tough choice between 'The Godfather' and the 'Indiana Jones' trilogies but I'll have to chose Indy because of Belloq (too bad that he only appeared in one film) and the 'Indy shoots the swordsman' scene.

The original Star Wars is the only way to go. It's scary that until I voted Lord of the Rings was winning. :(

Most definitely "The Godfather" trilogy, especially the last one because of incredible looking Andy Garcia! :D

                                  My Top Trilogies:

                                  1. LOTR
                                  2. Star Wars (All Of Them)
                                  3. Indiana Jones
                                  4. Back To The Future
                                  5. The Evil Dead

Soon, Pirates Of the Caribbean will become a trilogy, and it would go into the number 3 place, pushing the rest down one spot.

It's difficult. A lot of trilogies have good first and second films but a weak third (such as the Indiana Jones and Godfather films) which weakens the trilogy as a whole.

I guess I'll have to vote Star Wars / Empire Strikes Back / Return of the Jedi for this one, as it is the most consistent trilogy on the list (or at least it was until George Lucas started tampering with it).

I liked the third Indiana Jones better than the second one...
