I'd have to say the original Star Wars (episode 4: A New Hope) for many reasons: its the father of all modern Sci Fi, it was a low budget film and managed to blow everyone away, at the time everyone was expecting it to be a huge bomb but were very much mistaken.

My top 3 favorite films as of right now are The Return Of The Living Dead, Labyrinth, and The Point. The first 2 have been my favorite for years though. The Rocky Horror Picture Show would have to be in the top 10 probably. I'll agree with the Star Wars movies. There's just too many good films out there to say.

I must say although entirely corny it's a tie between "They Live" and "Big Trouble in Little China"
"YEAH YEAH!!!! THIS WAS THE HOLE THAT WAS FILLED WITH WATER WHERE WE HAD TO SAVE THE VIRGIN THAT WAS GETTING EATEN BY THE GIANT SNAKE!!!!" -"Dragnet" (1987)

Akira, a 70's movie about when Tokyo blew up and they built a city on top of it called Neo Tokyo. (New Tokyo in english.) and there are all these psycic kids and ones named akira. they have to be kept in a daycare because they get out of controll if they don't take they're medicine. and tuksuo, a boy who was done an expirement on was the closest thing to akira. a anime that was rated R for Extensive language and A lot of Violence (like Bloddy Violence.)
