Dang.. I just saw the worst King Of The Hill ever... it was the pig one with Luanne. Gosh. that was not like typical King Of the Hill. It was actually bad. I mean I expected that in the end (if anyone has seen it) the guy would roll off the conveyor belt and not get pierced in the head by that metal rod.. to those of you who havent seen it.. Yeah.. they have an episode like that out there..

Yeah, that one was really creepy. Overall, I think I enjoy King of the Hill more than Simpsons these days, and not just because new Simpsons suck. But I do hate that Peggy Hill!

I would have thought a lot of us would favour Family Guy over them all just simply because of all of the retro references to stuff we loved!! Not to mention Stewie is a classic!

Bobby Hill is like the Meg griffin of King of the Hill, although my personal fave is Boomhauer. He talks so fast and incoherently that i'm lured in. . .he's too fast for them dang'ole'closed captions, man. :lol:

It's an ok show. It's been going down hill like everything else has. I like Bobby. His relationship with Hank is like the one with my dad. He always thinks I'm getting into something stupid. The only episode I Really like is the one No Doubt in it.

The show is kind of funny, my mother grew up in Texas and she actally had a friend/cousin or something who talked by Boomhauer!

I like the newer episode when Peggy was doing an article on the history of Arlen, and discovered it was first called Harlottown.

King of the Hill does suck. it's not even funny. It's a shame that Judge came up with such a piece of crap after making something as funny as Beavis and Butthead.

Although I enjoy, "The Simpsons" more, "King of the Hill" is still a pretty good show! Some people just don't understand some of the humor, that's all. "Futurama" is also pretty good, but NOT the funniest I've seen! It's just like how it's not as funny as "The Simpsons" as "American Dad" is not as funny as "Family Guy". But recently, "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" has managed to crack me up even more than the rest of these shows! The "Super Birthday Snake" episode had me laughing so hard that I couldn't breathe! :lol:

Didn't know if this reference was too obscure. They were on the VERY LAST bit of the hair metal craze of the late 80s/early 90s; one of the first St. Louis bands to make it, then fade quickly into obscurity, just like Stir, Mesh, the Urge, etc.

BTW, the dude leaning over on the right was in a band with me a couple of years ago.

I'm a huge fan of King of the Hill. And I think Bobby is a crucial part to the show, I mean he's the total opposite of what you would think the son of Hank would be. It allows for more story options and ultimately a larger range in episode variety. He is a key member, just as everyone else is. You got a psycho (dale), a ladies man (boomhauer), a guy that gets shat on all the time (Bill), arrogance (peggy), conservative guy that seems just like my dad (Hank), hottness/cheater (Nancy), hottness/idiot ditz (Luanne), minority/homewrecker (John Redcorn), minorities to contrast vast differences (Khan, Mihn, and Kahn Jr.), I could go on and on and on.

Every character has something different to offer, and the purpose is to extend the possibilities of what can happen. I wouldn't give anybody up.

But I have to agree that the pig episode was both creepy and just incredibly bad. The guy gets chopped up, so Peggy and Luanne just go home? Weirrrrd.

But there are many many great episodes. One of my favorites is when Kahn Jr. got her first period, and after Hank thumbs through his first aid handbook he asks her if she knows how to tie a turnicate.

Little things like that just make the show very entertaining.

I like the episode when Hank fishes with crack and the fish were always coming back for more! That was great!

The damn show rules. Although Beavis and Butthead were great in their day, the comedy bits are too simple for today's standards and aren't even funny anymore. King of the Hill's writers are top-notch and they don't ever seem to run out of ideas.

I gotta disagree about B & B- I was actually the opposite. When they were on back in college, I'd watch it every once in a while, and it was okay, but years later my old band would sit around and watch them and they were farkin' hilarious! Sophomoric, yes, but farkin' hilarious nonetheless. I like KOTH okay now, but I think it's first 2 seasons were the best. My favorite scene is the Willie Nelson BBQ when Boomhauer is talking to Bob Dylan. I think I've got that somewhere on this computer. If I can find it, I'll post it ( if I can fugure out how- can anyone tell me how to post something I've saved on my hard drive?)
