just wondering if anyone here has Sirius Satellite Radio, I do and I love it, I think it's the greatest invention ever! XM is ok too, but I like Sirius a lot better...

I am on a Sirius message board, www.siriusbackstage.com I'm on there as 'Meatwad'

some of my favorite Sirius stations:

Hard Attack (27)- EXCELLENT metal station!

Buzzsaw (19)- 70s/80s hard rock

Octane (20)- 90s & present day hard rock

Hair Nation (23)- 80s/early 90s rock/metal

Faction (28)- punk/rock/metal/industrial/hip-hop mix

1st Wave (22)- 80s alternative

Alt Nation (21)- present day & 90s alternative

Underground Garage (25)- garage rock

Sirius Disorder (24)- mix of a whole bunch of different stuff

Left of Center (26)- indie rock

The Vault (16)- rare classic rock tracks

Classic Rewind (15)- classic rock, mostly 70s/80s

Backspin (43)- old-school rap

Chill (35)- electronica & ambient

Area 33 (33)- faster electronica

Reggae Rhythms (32)

Sirius Blues (74)

Spa 73 (73)- new age

Raw Dog (104)- un-cut comedy

haha yep, I'm a little addicted :D

My boyfriend has Sirius. It's pretty awesome. I love the comedy station and Octane. He likes all the jazz and swing stations. Plus all the news channels are great.

We got my dad a Sirius radio and subscription for his birthday. He's a Howard Stern fan, but he said he wouldn't get it just to listen to Howard. When Radio Margaritaville came to Sirius, that convinced him to ask for it. He also liked (and I did too) E Street Radio.

Though I like XM more (we have both), Sirius is a great service. I listen to Hillbilly Jim's Moonshine Matinee every Sunday. Heck, satellite radio in general is a vast improvement over terrestrial radio. Commercial-free radio makes long car rides a lot easier; trust me!

Yep, the Hillbilly Jim of WWE fame. He begins every show by playing his theme "Don't Go Messin' With a Country Boy." Besides the music, he discusses classic wrestling and the promotional work he does for WWE.

i had xm for awhile b4 i went to college. i really liked it as it was a nice change of pace from all the commercial clutter of regular radio. however, if i were to get satellite radio again, i think i'd go with sirius for their NBA coverage and howard stern

I'm glad there's other Surius fans out there!

Although they're in 2nd place in the wars of Sattelite Radio, they have a hot lineup of great programming

                                  A couple fav channels include:

Alt Nation 21: Madison would make a great regular jock, but the music played is near flawless of alt-rock.
Octane 20: Harder rock, but a good alternative to Alt Nation.
Spa 73: New age music, which is good, and makes for a nice alternative to the regular music.
Howard 100: Stern... plain & simple!
Howard 101: Stern... again... but also Bubba the Love Sponge which I'm finding more entertaining than Howard... because he plays afternoons & really lets the sh!t fly.
Maximum Radio: Bower, Cavino & Rich among others make it an amusing station to listen to.
Raw Dog 104: Uncensored comedy is great, but comedian Jim Breuer's show from 4-6 weekdays is just the icing on the cake.

There's a few others, but those stand out the most...

...oh yea, and getting the NFL's individual play-by-play from the hometown that you could not normally pick up because you're halfway across the country is also a plus! :)
