I've heard that Penny's parents were killed by Claw. He intended to kill Gadget but he killed them instead. It was revealed in the spin-off "Go Go Gadgetinis". Just thought I'd let the Inspecotr Gadget fans here know. We've been wondering for years why she doesn't live with her parents.

    I wonder if Dr. Claw didn't kill her parents after all but is reallt her father and wants to convert her to the darkside so they can rule the galaxy together, oh wait thats Darth Vader, nevermind.

        1) Someone on IMDB told me.
        2) it also says it on this site. I know it's unreliable but I trust it as there is no explination about her parents. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go_Go_Gadgetini%27s

          I had always just deduced that...I guess my mind filled in the blank. They never referred obliquely to an an accident of something? Probably not.

                I never knew about this show. Probably because it was made in the UK. Nice to know.

                  I've never seen it and I'm a UK resident. As far as I know its not going to be shown in the U.K. Its shown in Australia though. The series is set in the U.K.
