i've seen make your own tv station, make your own cable channel, but what if you can make your own radio station format! or, which format or station would you like to see make a return?
i thought of my own formatted station it's like this. we all know the jack format so well, but, this station is not like the jack/doug/ben format. it's like a gold top40/oldies format, similar to jack. however, we play everything from the mid to late 50's all the way up to 2005, occasionally we may play something from 06, 07, or 08. we'll play AC, oldies, top40, rock, country, heck we'll play it all, from the big hits, to the ones that failed. and, will there be jingles? yes! the jingles will be from the center of the jingle universe, Dallas, TX! you'll mostly find it on the mid to higher frequencies, or ones that aren't so popular, for instance, if this were to appear in L.A, you'd find it on 106.1, or 107.9. the station monacre will vary from state to state, but the slogan will be mostly the same. here are some of the names and cities of the stations
L.A: KGKZ (KZ108)
Dayton, Ohio: WDTN-FM: 103.7 (103-7, DTN)
Raleigh, NC: WMGG: 107.9, Magic FM
Sandusky, OH, WSOH, star 98.7
boston, MA, WBST, b106
Philadelphia, PA, WEGX the new eagle 106
Cleveland, OH WGCL the new g98
Fayetteville, NC WMPR power 107
slogan: all the hits from the 50's and beyond!
it'll even include some of the older, but popular slogans and sayings like all-hit, the power station, musicradio, superradio, superstation, music power, the go go sound, oldies radio, all-american, the music's on us, and more.
and the other question was, which station in your market would you like to see make a comeback.
i would like to see KFRC return to 610 and 99.7 FM and simulcast an oldies format like it did in 2000 or so.
