Who else accidentally scratched their discs?
I did that with a collectors edition PS1 game, and I tried to repair it with brasso. Unfortunately, there's still a level that won't load.
Has stuff like this happened to you before?

I have some scratched PS1 and PS2 discs, but they still work fine on my PS3.

I scratched mine doing the swap method to play copied games. I just had to drop it....

They make all kinds of disc repair kits these days. Also, most video rental stores will clean your discs for you.

No because I keep my games in their cases when I'm not playing them. Oh, and I don't play copied games that require swapping discs.

I just hope the scratch wasn't so deep it destroyed the CD.

I have a few scratches on my games, but none that prevent me from playing them. I try to keep them in as good of shape as I can, checking them daily for smudges or scratches, and giving them a cleaning with rubbing alchohol and a cotton ball if needed (word of warning: Never use nail polish remover to clean a CD...) and a repair if I feel like it's needed (which is really rare that I need to pull out the disc repair, but it happened once or twice.)

Scratched the Soviet disc of Red Alert 2 once. Totally sucked, especially since it was the Install Disc and my computer just exploded.

PS2s don't read copied games, unless I do the swap method (which I was using that game for). Also, it only works for PS1 games unless you have SwapMagic.

Oh you scratched the boot disc which is not a copy. I see. Well, I guess you might have to actually pay for a game now. What a pity.

Yup, pay for games that they don't even make anymore.
BTW, I try not to pirate stuff that is still in production. I pirate discontinued classics.

Oh, well I guess that's OK. If you need to replace it you can probably find it in ebay or Gamestop. Not that I like to recommend Gamestop.

Well not scratched, but my dad accidentally spilled some sports drinks on some of my DVDs. And one chapter of one doesn't load properly. It was a homemade burned one.
