I would have thought The Simpsons would have been put to bed by now, but here we are, with the new season premier. I wonder just how much farther they're going to go down this season. (I wouldn't know, I completely missed the last season.)

Murdoch needs a new yacht!
Simpsons has actually been dragging itself back up to being almost funny again. This episode didn't work, but oh well.
But my personal opinion, they're just going until they finish their 20th season before ending it.

i though that they are going to call it quits when the movie comes out next year... thats what i heard.. but that could just be a rumor.. i can also see them going to 20th season.. that would be a good way to end it...

Its just not Rupert Murdoch's style to let something go with class, I see this show going on another 20 years.
I thought that the new season didn't start until November. When did they change it around?
Probably when Major League Baseball went somewhere else. (I haven't been following it, so I don't know where.) I think they still have the World Series until 2010.

I don't know but FOX has shown in the past they clearly have no competence when it comes to scheduling programming (Ie: Canceling Family Guy, Putting Futurama right after Football, the 50 plus shows that got canceled between 2000 and now). :roll:

I watched it, and i must say it was pretty, one of the funniest episodes since....well awhile

18th. Like Reaper said, Murdocks got babys to feed. He keeps the Simpsons cast locked to a shead outside of Fox Corprate headquarters. He takes them out everyonce in a while for them to do the show.

I am against the idea that a show MUST die. All it needs is a fresh new look. There areplenty of stories left to tell in Springfield, it just needs the right group of talent to bring them out.
I just hope the religious humor is over, last season they attempted to eb edgy liek family guy, but they faile dm sierablly and just looked like retards bashing christians and muslims and whoever else. I mena every episode had soemthign to do with it. stupid.

Tha latest in a long line of opening weirdness. Ralph Wiggums comes into the living room, where a vending machine is in place of the sofa. Inside it are candy figures of the Simpsons. Ralph enters the number for Homer, who drops down. Ralph picks it up, and bites the head off.
