Okay, I just noticed this today at work. Voltron is out on DVD! Or at least the first of five sets of Voltron is on DVD right now.
The first set is the Blue Lion set, with episodes 1-15 for $26. Presumably, it will be followed with the Red/Green/Yellow/Black Lion sets with the rest of the series.
However, just to throw a kind in things, there is a collector's edition of each one coming out as well. Thing is, I can't tell what the differance between the two is, aside from the case. Both have the same run time, but one has a shipping weight of .18 pounds, the other at .87 pounds. Thats a big weight differance. What I've seen online says that the collector's edition will come in a molded tin shaped like that lion's head that will be stackable with each other.
Thing is, I don't know if the tin case alone is enough to quadruple the shipping weight, and I don't really think an ugly molded tin (sorry, I hate those shaped tins) is worth the $10 price differance.
Anybody know if there is something else the collector's edition offers?
