I'm sure that everyone knows who I'm talking about. His music brought to life many a Tim Burton film, gave the Simpsons a good intro and much more. His talent is (in my opinion) unsurpassed.

Yup. A very underrated composer.
He is the first one I think of he adds so much to a movie with the music he writes

I didn't like his score for Planet of the Apes though.

You know you mispent your money when the ending involves Mark Whalburg getting arrested by monkey cops in Washington D.C. :lol:
He has to many music pieces that I like.

yea Danny elfman is by far my favorite composer..i think he also composed the simpsons theme song..which is incredible

He did indeed. He also composed the theme for Tales From the Crypt, and more recently he did the theme for Desperate Housewives.

The Spider-Man music was pretty good...
The first one or the second one? I personally prefer the music from the second because a HUGE portion of it was scored by one of my favorite composers, Christopher Young, who is much better than Elfman. (Apparently, Sam Raimi agrees with me because Young is doing ALL the music for Spiderman 3. For more info on the Spiderman 2 score controversy, see this.)
And now to the real reason I'm bumping this thread: For all you Danny Elfman fans here's a new interview with him. (conducted by Marilyn Manson of all people) I got a kick out of it, and I'm sure you will too.

everytime I hear danny elfmans name all i can think of is the kid the drew cartoons in student bodies.
Yeah, I love Elfman's music! His Edward Scissorhand's score is especially good.

Let's not forget that he started the greatest band ever...OINGO BOINGO. I saw them in concert in 1989....AWESOME! Danny is a music deity!!!
