I found this in another forum and thought it would be cool to do here.

For me it was "Diary of a nudist" (1961)

Yea, I'm in seattle and it listed about 500 or something....a lot of its tv stuff, lots of movies too. I was surprised considering most of the time people cheap out and go shoot in vancouver instead of seattle. Most of the time when they say its seattle in a movie, you're usually looking at canada. We're probably most famous for "Sleepless in Seattle" which was actually shot here. But stuff like "shopgirl" I had no idea about....very interesting. Apparently there is a film coming out about the WTO riots w/ Charlize Theron that they are supposedly planning to film here....we'll see if they decide to go with the real deal or not

Oh yea, and "10 things I hate about you" was authentic Seattle too, the high school is in tacoma, Stadium high. My friend's friend went there and had a bit part in it.
*That's it! I'm so gonna be like Angela Bower...except with better clothes.*

Paramount was in Texas and though its not a movie, Walker Texas Ranger wasn't too far away from Dallas.

in cleveland i know of a few off the top of my head, including "A Christmas Story" (i actually know ppl who attended school at ralphie's school), the spiderman movies were at least partially shot here, both major league movies obviously, and according to the list apparently candyman, double dragon, the deer hunter, happy gilmore, he got game (although i thought most of that was shot in/near brooklyn), howard the duck, the rainmaker, and traffic were also shot here
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Billy Madison (the outdoor birthday party sequences were shot at a golf and country club in Oshawa, a small town about three hours outside of Ottawa, very close to Toronto.)

A scene from The Sixth Day was shot in a mall here in downtown Ottawa.

Some music stuff too, the Stones shot a video from their Bigger Bang album at a club called Zaphod's in Downtown Ottawa.

When the Who played here they pro recorded and filmed it for purchase at TheMusic.com with the money going to charity. They've had a deal like that the last few times they toured as well.

I live in a small town, so for something like this the closest would have to be Detroit where a bunch of films about rap music are made. The Robocop films don't count despite taking place in Detroit because these were filmed in Texas.

Some movies that have used locations in my area are: Mad Max, Ned Kelly, and, more recently, Ghost Rider.

It's kinda funny, cos for Ghost Rider they put up a big 'Welcome to Texas' sign and a couple of fake cacti on the highway:
