Now why would anyone want to lug that thing around? How much does it weigh? Any idea?
These aren't my rules. Come to think of it, I don't have any rules.

About 50 pounds, we had one. And at the time, it was remarkably small. You gotta realize that this thing came out long before the idea of a laptop was ever concieved of. The idea of a computer with a built in monitor that you could just pick up and carry around was just freaking awesome.

'Twas a sad day when it got killed by a lightning strike. :(

lol I just got the funniest scene in my head of a small family and their dog watching in horror as their beloved computer gets zapped by lightning.

Man, i did the laptop program at high school and i thought after 2 years mine was big and crap course all the new ones were small and fast.
I think this one makes me alittle more thankful, however ive been shooting it with my air rifle course the thing doesnt eben work anymore :(

This kind of reminds me of our first computer, it had a green screen and had heaps of....er um..cool games on it.

for those who want to know more i found a pretty good website about it:
                            http://oldcomputers.net/osborne.html

$1795 price tag isnt actually that bad considering u'd pay much more for a laptop nowadays with the absolute best technology

and for those who were wondering about weight, only 24.5 pounds

Wow..it almost looks like there's a usb port lol

In my first computer class, the teacher started talking for days about DOS and MS DOS. That was when she did actually show up. I was like lady..as 6th graders, all we need to know is how to use word to type our reports. Due to budget cuts we never even got to learn that. It was funny..when I got to high school I thought that when you im someone that they could read your typing in realtime lol

well foxxietrini, in some workplaces they have implemented some spyware in the worker's computers to make sure they don't do anything illegal or break compant secrets, etc

Exactly, they do it with most laptops that are loaned out to employees.
