With his passing, a multi-decade legacy finally comes to an end. I enjoyed Hanna-Barbera's work...Maybe not as much as some of our RetroJunkers, but I liked it nevertheless.

The obituary is here:

I never get too sad when great people pass away in their old age.

        We'll always have the cartoons.

I feel the same. He was 95. He lived a long life and made a lot of people happy.

We might have the cartoons, just not a network to show them regulary, unless you pay for Boomerang, which is a more expensive package deal, so to speak.

Why is everyone dying? Me and my friend were just talking about him yesterday, how he created so many sweet shows. And we also talked how a lot of great actors and stuff were dying recently, this is really sad. He created some of my favorite shows and some of the greatest shows ever made. He created cartoons, he created the greatest cartoon characters ever, before good technology was even available. I will miss him. :(

That was so sad about Joe's death, kinda more like Walt's death 40 years ago Friday. Joe Barbera did everything from Tom & Jerry, to Yogi Bear to the Flintstones, the Jetsons, to Scooby-Doo. Joe Barbera did everything. Guess what! YouTube has plenty of Tom & Jerry cartoons available. All of the T&J shorts has been on WPIX-TV in New York City since the 1980's including the Scooby-Doo spin-offs. He was a remarkable guy. RIP

Yes, this is very sad. I used to love watching "The Flintstones" and "Yogi Bear" cartoon. Now that he's gone, it just won't be the same anymore. :(

The Flintstones is my favorite H-B cartoon of all time. I own all of the boxsets and it just brings me so much laughter just like when I was younger. Now when I watch it (or any of their shows), I will always think of Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera, some of my favorite animators of all time. I don't care what anyone got to say, they are the greatest in my book.
