I thought I had found Jim Rose's circus on myspace, but I don't believe it's legit. Someone take a look at http://myspace.com/jimrosecircus. They seem to want to believe they're affiliated with Jim Rose, but all signs point to 'no'. I had them friended for a while, but ended up constantly receiving bulletins saying 'leave a comment, we're testing the pulse of our extended network'. A bunch of the same people use the comments board as a chatroom, basically....I got fricken annoyed and removed the bastards.

Can someone please explain the whole point to myspace? I'm not being an old fart, I just don't see the point unless your trying to find out how many people think your hot.

I accidentally came across Jesse McCartney's myspace, but I can't find the link....I've also been to Jamie Cullum's (for those of you who don't really know who Jamie is, he's a singer...).

Carson Daly has one, but it's really for his show. Should I post the link?

Wow, almost as pathetic as that chick that spends every dime on TMNT stuff. It's amazing to me that people actually spend time pretending to be cartoon characters.

I'm with Rainbow Bright. I hate those private pages! Especially because some people actually are your friend and just never confirm the friend listings because they're lazy and never log on!!!

As far as this list, I'm going to add German music artist ATB. I'm pretty sure his MySpace is legit.

I understand the private profiles perfectly, they usually just don't want someone they don't know looking at their info, pictures, reading there comments and profile finding out stuff about them, pretty much people stalking them. Some people might not want their parents, siblings or some relative, maybe their teacher, boss or someone to find their profile and read some of the stuff they have on there.

Also celebrity type people might just have it private and for you to type in their name to stop those automatic friend adder people or people that just randomly add people to make their friend count go up. There are a lot of good reasons to have a private profile.

                          Now, back on topic....

I am all for the private profiles especally for those under 18. I don't want just anyone looking at my oldest daughters profile.
She was lucky I let her have a myspace page (I monitor it as necessary as well).
                            Ker click... Choom..

Very good parenting, my kids are too young for Myspace and I could care less for Myspace anyways.

It's not like I'm ever going to meet any of these celebrities in person, so why should I care?

Yeah, but it's just pretty cool being able to talk to them, it's like sending them a letter and getting one back all the time and it's a lot easier. We message back and forth, which I think is pretty cool. And if you don't care or don't like MySpace, then just don't post or view the topic.

Noone was slamming on myspace....I see no problem with ducktalesfan stating his opinion as long as it wasn't insulting to those who do use it.

You must be kidding yourself if you think you are really talking to the celebrity. Celebrities aren't online all day like waiting to hear from you.
