I do believe in asking before I stick my hands in the cookie jar, so here is a site that you can go to and place your votes for your favorite shows to be released on dvd. http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/

While you are there, you can check to see what shows will be released.

I hope that this will settle the YouTube discussion.

I haven't voted yet but here is what I would vote for:

      Saturday Supercade
      Donkey Kong Country
      Rocko's Modern Life
      Nickelodeon's Doug
You can't do that on television
      Dexter's Laboratory
      Cow and Chicken
      Tiny Toon Adventures
      Freakazoid
      Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation

      And well there's probably more.

I hope they bring Saturday Supercade to DVD. I haven't seen this show in 21 years. And YCDTOTV I haven't seen that in like 14 years.

One show they need to bring to DVD is Muppet Babies.

Yeah I hope Saturday Supercade gets brought to DVD as well. I only saw one full episode which I downloaded from a torrent and it's the only place I could ever see at least one full episode. I wish to see more episodes of that show.

As for YCDTOTV, that show was actually planned for a DVD release along with season 3 of Pete and Pete but they cancelled it due to Viacom splitting with CBS. It is belived that if Viacom gets that situation taken care of then Nick Rewind will relaunch again however Nickelodeon would have to get the rights from CJOH TV again to release YCDTOTV. I did catch YCDTOTV's airing on Nickelodeon duing U-pick live's BIG June in 2004. They aired a veriety of classic Nick shows and YCDTOTV was one of them. I heard that during the second airing of YCDTOTV in 2004, they showed it but not the end for that part was replaced with a rerun of Fairly Oddparents. I also downloaded some episodes, I really liked it and am looking forward to hearing more news about that Viacom situation to see if Nick Rewind will relaunch or not.

And Muppet Babies. That's another good show. They did release 4 DVDs with one episode each (which came with a muppet babies doll). However one of the reasons that this show hasn't been planned for a DVD release is because it uses different clips from TV shows and movies (such as Indiana Jones and Star Wars) and that would be a big issue to take care of. But if they do take care of that situation to release this show on DVD than that would be great to Muppet Babies fans and Muppet fans. It's still quite popular and would make a good DVD release. However until then you're just gonna have to deal with getting the 4 DVDs that came with a Muppet Babies doll.

            That's all for now.

nobody is voting for The Real Ghostbusters?!

I discovered tvshowsondvd.com a long time ago and it's AMAZING. Up to the second news about plans for future releases, even a schedule of what is coming out and when.

It's how I learned about the Super Mario Bros. Super Show and Dinosaurs dvd releases months in advance.

VOTE FOR THE REAL GHOSTBUSTERS! RIGHT NOW! THAT'S AN ORDER!

I don't understand how they were able to use all those movie clips in the first place (and this was back when many of those movies were brand new). I've heard of lots of TV shows that have to edit certain things out because of copy rights...but how were they even able to get the rights back in the day if they can't even get them now when these things are much, much older?

I'm taking a wild guess here, so someone please correct me if you know the answer.

Jim Henson was a cool guy and verry much liked in the industry. His shows were family oriented, so most companies just let it slide. Call it a form of free advertising, and having some verry good connections in the business.

Well I belive one reason they don't have the rights now to put the movie clips in now is because Disney had bought the muppets in 2001 (not the Sesame Street muppets though) and the clips used in it, Disney doesn't have the rights to put in there. They would have to work that issue out so they could put that on DVD.

If only Twentieth century fox and Dc comics can stop the lawsuits and have the royalties figured out so Batman (1966) can finnaly be released on DVD the show was so campy you could almost hear campfire songs but it was still fun damnit!!!
