I always wonder how differant people are on forums and chat rooms than in real life. I always think, would that person say those things if I was facing them in real life.
I've very outgoing in real life but I keep my opinions on things mostly to myself, that's why I like forums 'cause forums are meant to voice your opinions or discuss things.
How about you all, do you act differant in chat rooms and forums?

I'm a lot more open to communicating with people I don't know online, but offline friends I would communicate in a similar way as I do online. Of course, it's not as easy to show emotions or physical body language through text so it's hard to say exactly how much it differs.

I will use RJ as an example, I started off here as I do in real ilfe, being kinda shy, fitting in, being mostly very inoffensive. As with my real life self, as I got to know people and formed bonds, I became more confident and felt happier argueing putting forward my views.

I'm more outgoing in forums than in person. In person I pretty much keep to myself, including my college campus. I just got burned, booed and ridiculed by way too many people earlier in life for me to even consider to ever be outgoing again. Message boards are as close as I get to outgoing behavior.

I think I am the same in real life and on forums. I just like expressing myself on forums more, though, because I have more time to think of what I need to say. In real life you kind of need to get yourself out there really fast. I'm not so good at that :( but I try my best.
I think I'm pretty much the same online as I am normally. I talk the same way, and I'm polite, I suppose. I don't act like someone I'm not. ;)
Online I'm a bit more open then I am offline. Offline I tend to keep my own opinions and concerns to myself.
Thats what I like about forums, I can voice my concerns and opionons and the only repercussions I could recieve is a ban.

I am pretty much the same person online and in real life. of course i cannot prove that through here but it is what i think.
iam complete oppisite, iam dead silent/shy inperson and on here iam a bit of an asshole sometimes iam actually really laid back in person and friendly despite what i have said in the past on here..lol
