Yes, they do. If you get a bad message, ignore it or delete it.

Well if i recall i used my actual e-mail address to sighn up for this account on this site, i haven't e-mailed anyone cause its of no interest to me cause its the same shit everywere, but ive private messeged before and it is sorta used for both reasons for chit chat and or e-mail type messages same thing i think. Do as you please pretty much, unless ya know your gonna be an asshole oviosly but i think you know where to draw the line. As for the guy that messged him and he didnt' know who it was there have been some problems on this site once in a while you get whack jobs spamming and sayinging messed up things for no apparent reason to anyone so.

He guessed those names because they are all one person who has been a major problem on here in the past and this person will get booted off retrojunk and then sighn back with a similar name or a completely different name, hes quite ruthless and um..well insane, you will know what i mean if he returns. such corruption he caused on retrojunk everyone hates him.

I give and get private messages on an occassional basis. I've had all positive interaction through PM's... they've helped me get to know certain forum members a little closer than I normally would have.

I don't PM either. I just figure if someone needs me, they know how to get in touch with me. Its not hard.

I PM people here and I have never thought it was a big deal. Sometimes I just want to talk.

I use them. Once to get some website info and the other time run a topic idea past a moderator 1st before posting. But, thats about it.

I get them all the time.

When you get pms like that just delete them. Personally, I think members who have obvious anger issues and are judgemental of a member because they post a thread or remark they think "sucks", "is lame" or whatever other remark they have on the thread or remark should just keep their opinions to themselves and not pm the people about the issue.

Last time I checked pming a person was supposed to be a friendly way to chat and such and not made to be a tool for harassment.

PM's are a great way for bickering people to leave their bitching and moaning at each other out of the threads that we're all trying to read.

I use pm alot it a cool a program to use on her :)

Private messages? I rarely send or recieve them.

I send (and receive) PMs every now and again. I chatted regularly with someone else on the board via PMs at one point. I figure it's better to do that than clutter up the boards with random chatter.
