Yes...I've thought a lot about my childhood and the cartoons and books and music that made it special. It seems like the music really brings back the feeling of being there. We moved when I was 10 and 13 so the shows we watched are kind of tied to the places we lived.

The memories are personal and fleeting. Soon they will be gone and then no one will know what it is like, not even me! I wonder if it feels the same way to each of us, the nostalgia, or is it different for everyone?

Before I discovered Retro Junk, I was able to remember a lot of stuff from childhood. The site really helped make those memories clearer; for example I knew I used to watch Zoobilee Zoo and Video Power in the mornings, but my memories of them were pretty much gone.

I was "retro" before I found this site -- I think it started in high school. My school had many early dismissals and days off (at least one a month) for faculty meetings and inservice days, so I was home by myself a lot. One day, I found the copy of "Follow That Bird" my parents taped off HBO, so I decided to watch it to see if the tape still worked and how much I could remember. Then I found all my old TMNT tapes.

I always thought I was the only one who missed childhood or got nostalgic when watching classic commercials or revisiting a place I had been to as a kid. It's good to know I'm not alone in my love of happy memories of childhood.

I started to feel more strongly about it. Before I came here, I just wanted to remember my own childhood. Now I urge other people to do the same.

This has never happened to me. I remembered all the shows that I liked. (I seem to have completely forgotten about the ones I only saw once or didn't like. XD)

Um...not that I can think of off the top of my head, but I'm sure there's at least one.

Yes. In some ways, the 80s have never really left me. XD

I would say that my fundamental feelings and knowledge of my past has remained the same, but many juicy nuggets of nostalgia have been unearthed by the friendly people of this site. Retrojunk been very very good to me.

for the most part i remembered 85 to 90% of the shows i watched but once foxkids went and ytv started going downhill and cgi started to take over family movies is when i started geting nostalgic for good and funny shows and movies. though like anyone here retrojunk did help clear up some memories and i thank everyone on retrojunk for it

Before I found this site I still used to bring up the subject of old cartoons/TV shows with friends every once in a while, and those conversations always moved on to things we did as kids, places we'd go, etc.

But retrojunk is good for the historical visual/audio documentation of old commercial entertainment... haha

I found RJ to be alot cheaper then actually going out and trying to re-buy all the toys I once had.. Memories come easier then all the money that it would take to buy everything back..

Before I started coming onto retrojunk

1. I did remember a great deal of stuff from my past. I even reconnected with long forgotten cartoons from my childhood.

2. I got to learn about where a lot of these former actors have been since doing a sitcom or cartoon.

3. I bought a video hub for my computer right before I started an account on this site, but originally it was for preserving home movies.

4. As strange as this sounds, I really don't miss my past that much. Sure, it was all fun while it lasted, but I am a lot older know and wiser.

5. I always knew that someday I would find some way to remember my past, or the past.

Actually, I did come to RetroJunk.com because I was getting more and more nostalgic for the past--it must be the yucky 2000's. I remembered some but this place has been amazing in renewing my 90's memories!

When I started looking up retro, 80's and 90's websites, I remembered a few shows I grew up with, but this site has been a literal gold mine of information, and memory renewal on my part! I've re-discovered SOOO many of the shows I loved and grew up with, just browsing the commercial and clip section. It's awesome. It brought back a ton of cherished memories.

OH YEAH! I really miss my past more and more often these days. It seemed like such a charmed era looking back. Not to mention, life seemed more carefree just 16 years ago.

Nope. Had no idea I'd remember such a ton of stuff. I kinda forgot it over the years but it just rushed back when I started visiting here!

Oh yeah, lots. Like that old show "Grimm's Fairy Tales", the Japanese animated series. Definitely remembered the look and some of the stories but clean forgot the name until I came here!
