Anyone else think that buying Apple products is a bit much these days? I mean, they come out with new products every 6 months. You buy the latest technology only to find out, 3 weeks later, that Apple has something new and better to offer? This is why I'm sticking to my mp3 because while I have that for 5 years, people, holding their iPod xx14 in their hands, will hang their heads in shame.

Apple products are overpriced and over hyped. They're made so you almost have to pay Apple to service them. OS X was superior to Windows in the past, but Windows 8 defiantly has them beat. Android is just as good and in some ways is better. I have a Ipod and simple things like deleting a picture is complicated. They want you to do it in iTunes and then sync it. Their products are nice, but there are much cheaper options that are just as good with more flexibility.

Apple products have quite a cult following, that's why the smart shoppers wait to see the competition's offerings before buying. Love the price drop on older stuff when the new stuff gets all the buzz.

Here's how I read the OP:

"Help Apple is brainwashing me, I can't ignore their marketing. Even if my Apple thing is working fine I get unhappy if there's a new model I don't have. For some reason, other brands don't have this effect on me. So I will use them and project my shame onto people who have what I really want."

I have an iPhone and and iPod Shuffle. While I do sort of dislike Apple's policy and their cult following, I have to say their products are top notch. The function and design is really intuitive.

I love my macbook from 2010 but I see no point in upgrading just for 2 more gigs of ram since everything seems to run fast on my current one. I do like it a lot more than my PC i had prior to it though they do really make great technology.

Yea, that pretty much sums it up.
