What still freaks me out, the movie never explains why the birds turned against humans. And that unresolved ending leaves the impression that more is on the way! The only part of the movie that tries to ask "why" is the bar room scene after the latest bird attack:

Like when David Bowman's space capsule, after what seems like a long time, finally lands inside of what appears to be a fancy hotel? The poor guy is sooo scared he's shaking uncontrollably and his face looks creepy as hell!
In the book, Bowman stays inside the capsule for awhile, then as he calms down realizes that whoever or whatever "made" that hotel is obviously watching him. He steps out into the hotel room so as not to appear to his hosts as "completely stupid", lol.

Kinda freaked me out at the time.

well, does anyone still get vibes from creepshow? the last story with the cockroach infestation gets me even to this day

A long time ago, when I first watched John Carpenter's Halloween, I was real scared when the very young Michael Myers killed his big sister.
Seven just because it's so realistic and phsyco's like John Doe are really out there.

Lately, horror movies aren't that great but 1408 was a fascinating movies. It was more creepy than scary but sometimes that's all horror movies need.

The Shining is truly one of the best.
You guys got me thinking about one of the most scary animated characters from my childhood. Maleficent has stood the test of time but she sure haunted my dreams when I was a little kid!
