I don't consider myself a hardcore anime fan but I like MAR, Bleach, Chobits, and Vandread (saw the series once and I was hooked).
Blood+ looks cool so far as well.

What's with all these anime topics popping up so much lately anyway? Either way, for me, it's Deathnote still. Sucks the series finale is next week.
I would say Meitantei Conan as a current favorite, but, I haven't watched an ep (or movie) in like forever since the main fan-subbing team I was keeping up with, stopped a good while back. Even though Meitantei Conan isn't a "current fav" it's a fav overall for me.Well, that topic is just asking for good series to watch, not necessarily current favorites, like this one is asking, so it might not count.

I've posted my favorites before but right now I've been watching one called 'Beck' and 'Yakitate Japan'.
Beck is about a band who's trying to make it world wide and Yakitate is about a baker who's trying to make the ultimate bread that symbolizes Japan. Like how there's french, danish and english bread. They sound mundane but they're actually really entertaining and well made.

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl is a hella lot more violent than seasons 6-9!
