I wouldn't because there's too many poor, homeless people in the world (Some of them probably deserved it) while rich people live in 50-bedroom mansions and own a car for each day of the week. That's a waste of money.

I could use some more cash, but I won't do anything insane for some.

I don't. :p I have enough materials to keep me happy. (Material-wise anyway)

Someone said a few threads up that they wouldn't want to be rich because there are too many poor people?

Rich people can do more to help those in need than poor or middle class people. Look at Oprah Winfrey or Bill Gates. They have so much money that they form their own philanthropies and charity organizations. They use their organizations to help those less fortunate.

Stop kidding yourselves...we would like to be rich. It just takes a heart of gold not to be corrupted by the desires of greed.

I would form my own charity and form scholarships and other services to help others. Who was the last "poor or middle class" person that you know that has enough money to spare to help hundreds to thousands, if not millions of people? It takes money to make money...

So if you had the chance to make a million dollars, you're telling me you would turn it down?

I'd donate the whole million to charity. Like I said, I'm good, material-wise and I'm far from selfish. Who needs 30-inch rims and jewelry that costs overs $100,000 each?

if i was rich i would start a charity to pay the cost of college and trade couses for people who cant otherwise make the money. the hope is once they have got off to a good life without liveing paycheck to paycheck they would donate at lest as much as what they took. but i would have to make sure they were really useing the money for school and not useing it on a car or something

Hell yeah, I'd like to be rich. It'd make paying for college easier. I love donating to charity, so of course I'd donate, but if I were rich I wouldn't feel horrible about it. As long as I did my part and contributed to the less fortunate, I'd be cool with being rich.

Who says you have to buy 30 inch rims and $100,000 jewelry? I would use the money to travel all over the world and see the things I've always wanted too: the Acropolis in Greece, The Louvre in Paris, The Great Wall of China, Hawaii, ect. ect.

I'd do the same thing. I'd give myself a good living, splurging just a bit for myself, then give most of the rest to alot of charities and what not.

I'm happy the way I am.

But, if I was Bill Gates or something right now, I'd cut my money in half and give a half to charity.

Yes, but not very rich (like having a 15 bedrooms and 10 cars).

I would like to be rich but I'd just buy simple things, nothing too fancy. I wouldn't give any to charity *retro junk members gasp*

Yeah that's right, know why? Becuase there's tons of actors, actress', musicians, and tech-savy guys like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs who can give a lot to charities, in fact they could almost end the need for charities but do they? No. So why should I, a hard working guy who just got lucky, sink all of my fortune down the drain just to end up less rich again?

i kinda agree with you on that.

but i personally would still give to charity.

To help out your less fortunate fellow man, so one day they themselves can eventually make it big like you did :)
