With the newest trend of taking cartoons and making them into live action movies, one of the newest of these is Dragonball Z. Apparently Fox is going to be producing the movie and they have just found the writer and director for the movie: James Wong. He has also done the Final Destination movies, The One, and The X-Files. The Dragonball Z movie is supposed to be filming starting in November in Montreal.

i have mixed feelings about something like this. im curious to see the cast and how it will work being a live action movie. at the same time im thinking, this will never work as a live action movie. could you imagine what any of the alien characters would look like? i can not imagine what a Frieza or Buu costume would look like. i guarantee (did i spell that right?) they won't look anything like the show. this is one of those adaptations that should not happen. DBZ was never meant to be live action. its just not right. im still gonna watch it though since im an avid fan of the series.

Nowadays I'm positive that they would most likely do aliens like Piccolo in CGI or alter a real actor to look like them. :)
I've only seen the Majin Buu saga of Dragonball Z but I really got into the whole thing (from Super Saiyan 3 Goku all the way to Vegetto :cool:). It was those kind of action packed cliffhangers that kept me at the edge of my seat waiting for more! The anime always seems to work best in cliffhangers, so I guess how well it works as a movie will depend on how faithful they are to the series, maybe having a different movie for each of their enemies.

Eh, i didnt mind the movie all that much. Daisy was hot so it played out really well :)
As for the DBZ movie. They did something on YouTube about who the characters would be. I laughed when i saw this cause someone spent to much time thinking of this.

believe it or not, they didn't spend much time coming up with that cast. all of the actors who they said should play characters in the movie came from a list that was published in a Dragonball Z magazine about 6 or 7 years ago about who should be in the dragonball movie if its ever made.

Well maybe horrible's not the right word. ^^; I thought the Mario Bros. movie was okay when I saw it, just that it had very little connection to the video game (that was the horrible part). But if you're not thinking of how close it is to the game then it really is entertaining. :)

A lot. i couldn't tell you exactly, but I remember almost every boss fight took like 15-20 episodes to end. And then the same thing happened again and again and again...
